A casual yet sophisticated outdoor café, Sirocco is about freshly ground Lavazza Coffee, baked fresh daily croissants and orange juice, freshly squeezed while you wait. Sumptuous breakfasts morph lazily into sun soaked lunches, as the passing street theatre plays out around you. Legendary three egg omelettes, Eggs Benedict and Salmon Croissants yield to crisp baby herb salads, seafood linguini, baby calamari tubes and fresh line fish as lunch time approaches.
Sirocco has undergone major renovations over the winter period and has emerged with a stunning Victorian style wood and glass pavilion which makes it more sheltered from the wind and warmer in the evenings. This structure, by architect Thomas Leach, is turning heads in Kalk Bay and is generating much interest and buzz. This structure is complimented by a beautiful bar made out of the floor boards of the ballroom from the old Majestic hotel in Kalk Bay. The bar runs along the length of the restaurant making Sirocco a perfect spot for people watching with views through to False Bay and the harbour beyond. The menu has received excellent feedback and caters for many tastes and is complimented by a selection of freshly baked goods available daily. Soon a wood fired pizza oven for wood fired bread and gourmet pizza will be available, as well as an ice cream store located in the historical old newsagent’s kiosk on the premises. This will sell premium Italian gelato, hand manufactured using imported Italian ingredients.
Breakfast and Lunch Monday to Sunday, 8am until 4pm.
